The floods in England
I haven’t really been following the stories about the flooding in the UK but had 20 minutes at lunchtime today so I thought I’d get onto the BBC web site and read about them.
The most interesting content on the site was their interactive flood map using Google Maps. Incredibly useful to see all the photos and video submitted by the public organised in this way. Much more engaging than a vague thirty second spiel by some reporter or other on the News at 6. News has come a long way.

Great site, interesting to see the photos/videos - just a shame so many people have had their lives/houses/cars ruined.

Wow, I saw the floods on the news this week but missed hearing where it was- I had no idea it’s all happening in and around Reading, among other places.
Just a shame the drought stricken places can’t get that amount of water.
Off to google it all a bit more….
